Last weekend we provided the wedding transport for Ellen & Sean. We picked up Ellen and her father Rob from Solihull and made the short journey to The Ramada Hotel in Solihull Town Centre. We dropped them at the hotel for 1:45pm and Ellen was interviewed by the registrar. They married at 2pm in a short service where they were joined by family and close friends. Following the service we went for a short drive to Brueton Park which both Ellen & Sean really enjoyed. Upon returning to The Ramada Hotel they had numerous photos with the car before they rejoined their guests for their wedding breakfast. We thank them for chosing Love Wedding Cars and wish them a great honeymoon in Florida.
Saturday’s wedding of Cath & James was in Birmingham City Centre. Cath and her family all stayed at the superb Hotel Du Vin on Church Street on Friday night, we firstly took Cath’s bridesmaid’s, Mum and Nan to St Paul’s Church in St. Paul’s Square we then returned to pick up Cath and her Dad. Following the service the roof was lowered(yes in October!) and we took Cath & James on a drive around the Jewellery Quarter whilst they enjoyed their champagne before heading back to Hotel Du Vin for their reception. It really was a superb afternoon.
The end of September brings a conclusion to the summer wedding season, and what a summer we’ve had! We’ve had a wedding pretty much every weekend since the middle of March! We’ve covered thousands of miles across the whole of the Midlands, plus a little further afield as well. Looking back we’ve lots of photos of lots of happy couples, we wish every couple we’ve had the pleasure of providing transport for the very best for many happy years together.
Looking ahead we continue working towards filling our diary for 2014, and 2015. In the next couple of months we’ve wedding fayres across the Midlands so look forward to meeting lots of new couples as they enter the wedding planning conveyor belt! Although we tend to have a lot less weddings in the winter months looking at December we’ve cars booked out every weekend already, may be a holiday will have to wait a little longer!
This evening we had the privilege of providing a car for Doreen & Alf who celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with their family at The School House in Weeford, near Lichfield. The couple were an absolute inspiration, I couldn’t believe they’d been married 60 years, well I could if they got married when they were 5 years old! I’m sure they’ll have a great night. Thanks to their daughter in law Melanie for choosing us to surprise them with a slightly better mode of transport than they were expecting!
Today we provided the wedding transport for Susina & Jonathan who got married at Henley Golf & Country Club in Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire. They were transported in our “Regent Landaulet In Silver With Wired Wheels”, which looked superb decorated in red, white & blue ribbons & bows. Our first journey this morning was to take Susina’s Mum and Bridesmaid to the venue, we then returned to pick up Susina and her Dad. Following the wedding we took Susina & Jonathan for a short drive, this is something we are doing more and more regularly, why you may ask. There are 2 reasons; firstly it is a chance for the bride and groom to have a 20 or so minutes away from the whirlwind of their wedding day, they get a chance to catch up and importantly to find out who was most nervous! Secondly it gives them the opportunity to both be photographed with the car, which always makes for some great snaps! Thank you to Susina & Jonathan for allowing us to be part of their big day, we wish them a great honeymoon in Turkey and all the best for many happy years together.
Yesterday we provided the wedding transport for Amy & Harry who got married at The Castle Hotel in Tamworth, they used one of our black & ivory cars; “Regent Landaulet In Black And Ivory”. We undertook a total of 4 journeys for them, the highlight of the day for us was the first journey; taking Amy’s Grandparents to the venue. They had been told they’d be getting picked up but not told in what….. the look on their face’s when they saw the car was a great sight(I think the picture above captures how happy they were). Throughout the 10 minute journey they were beaming and complimented us on the car around half a dozen times!!! Following the Grandparents we took the flower girls, bridesmaids and Amy’s mother, then our final journey to the venue was with Amy and her Dad. After the ceremony we took Amy and Harry to the Castle Grounds for their photos. We wish Amy & Harry all the very best for the future and thank them for choosing Love Wedding Cars.
On Saturday we had the pleasure of providing 3 cars for Rebecca & Ashley. They travelled in our Regent Landaulet In Black And Ivory With Wired Wheels, their bridesmaids travelled in our Regent Landaulet In Black And Ivory and the Parents & Grandparents travelled in our Regent Landaulet In Silver With Wired Wheels. The day started at Rebecca’s parents house in Studley in glorious sunshine, the wedding took place at Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Studley, in glorious sunshine and the reception took place at Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon….. and you guessed it….. in glorious sunshine! It was a great day and a pleasure to transport such a great couple and their family. We wish Rebecca & Ashley all the very best for many happy years together and thank them for choosing Love Wedding Cars.
We are getting to know lots of great contacts as we continue to build relationships within the wedding industry. A company we would like to recommend is Roses Florist who are based in Great Barr, Birmingham. We had the pleasure of exhibiting next to them at The Aston Wood Golf Club Wedding Fayre. Becky (the company owner) is very passionate about her business and her work; the quality of flowers on display were quite outstanding, as well as the more traditional displays they clearly have an innovative side with some more modern and unique arrangements. Roses Florist can be contacted via www.rosesfloristsonline.com or 0121 366 7226.
Yesterday we were privileged to provide the transport for Rebecca & Adam who got married in Walsall. Firstly what a great couple, they were both very relaxed and beaming throughout the 4 hours we were with them. The highlight of the day for us was Walsall Arboretum, this is somewhere we’ve been as a family on several occasions for the illuminations, all of which have been cold, dark and more often that not wet nights! Today we saw the place in a totally different light…..! It’s the perfect backdrop for wedding photos, there was an array of colour from various different trees and plants plus the lake and stream. If you’re getting married in or near Walsall we would highly recommend you consider using the Arboretum. All the best Rebecca & Adam for many happy years together.
Today we provided the wedding transport for Alex & James. They choose our Regent Landaulet In Black And Ivory decorated in Ivory & Teal. As the church was just half a mile from Alex’s parents house we made 3 journeys from home to the church which was St Peter’s in Harborne. We transported her parents, the flower girl, all the bridesmaids and of course Alex and her amazing dress. Following photo’s in the sunshine we made the short journey, with the roof down for the second day running, to The Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Thank you for choosing Love Wedding Cars Alex & James, have a great night and many happy years together.
